Being a parent is one of life’s most pivotal and rewarding roles. Parent coaching sessions are designed to equip parents with effective strategies to nurture healthy, happy children who will grow into well-adjusted adults. Here are the key aspects covered in these coaching sessions:

  • Psycho-Education: Understand your young person’s mental health to better manage and support them, especially if they are in therapy themselves.

  • Parenting Plans: Create effective parenting plans that amplify therapeutic benefits, with strategies that can be implemented at home and school.

  • Navigating Transitions: Specialised support for significant life changes such as puberty and the transition to young adulthood, focusing on adapting strategies to evolving needs and challenges during these critical periods. For parents of children with ADHD, incorporating ADHD coaching can greatly enhance parenting effectiveness:

  • ADHD Coaching for Parents: Receive specialised support for managing the unique challenges of raising a child with ADHD, including behavior management, enhancing concentration, and fostering an environment that supports their needs without stifling their potential.

  • Self-Care and Stress Management for Parents: Techniques to help parents manage the physical and emotional demands of raising a child with ADHD, anxiety, and/or other issues.

  • Session Formats:

  • Single Sessions: 90-minute single sessions are available for focused, intensive support.

  • Semi-Regular Sessions: For families with a child or young person in our service, 50-minute sessions are offered on a semi-regular basis to provide ongoing support and development.

  • Parent Coaching Programs: 6-week individual programs are tailored to offer comprehensive coaching in specific parenting skills and strategies. For example a new ADHD diagnosis.

These personalised coaching sessions provide a robust framework for parents and carers, ensuring they have the tools necessary to succeed as nurturing, informed guardians.
