Online Mental Health First Aid Training for Workplace’s

Designed for managers, supervisors, and all team members, this course offers the best of both worlds: self-paced online content coupled with live sessions to consolidate the learning, available either face-to-face or through virtual delivery. This approach ensures comprehensive support and skill development for dealing with mental health issues in the workplace.
The course teaches managers, supervisors, and individuals how to assist a co-worker who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. However, course participants will learn mental health first aid skills that can be applied to help any adult. Course content is tailored to the workplace setting using case studies, videos, and resources tailored to your needs.
The live instructor-led component (component 2) can be delivered in person or online.
Overview of eLearning (component 1)
Developing mental health problems covered:
Depression and Anxiety
Psychosis
Substance use problems
Mental health crises covered:
Suicidal thoughts and behaviours
Non-suicidal self-injury (deliberate self-harm)
Panic attacks
Traumatic events
Severe psychotic states
Severe effects from alcohol or other drug use
Aggressive behaviours.
Overview of the instructor-led live session (component 2)
The live component is delivered after participants have completed the e-learning (component 2).
In the instructor-led live session, the focus is on revising and applying the knowledge and skills learned in the eLearning component, providing participants with the opportunity to:
Examine issues pertinent to mental health problems in the workplace in more depth
Clarify any points of uncertainty remaining after the completion of eLearning modules
Apply the MHFA Action Plan to relevant workplace scenarios
Discuss and reflect on 'where to from now' in using mental health first aid skills in the workplace.
